I have this pair of knee-soft white leather high Doc Martens for Christmas.

I always have on my leather boots with Dubbin in the past, but my friend warned me that might affect the color white. I do not care if you look at the boots a little muddy to use and more, but I do not want to tarnish the strange manner. Is it a risk? Is there another product that could be safer?
